Counselling sessions are 50-60 minutes and cost $160.
(The current Australian Psychological Society’s recommended fee is $300 per session).
Non Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling can be a shorter session and is charged at a lesser rate.
Fee's are payable at the time of the session and can be paid by cash or eftpos.
Referral
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist.
However if you do get a referral from a G.P. you maybe eligible for a rebate from Medicare.
If your doctor refers you through a mental health care plan you will be able to get the rebate of $93.35 per session for 10 sessions per year.
